Privacy information
These terms are not approved for a public launch.
This page describes this build’s data handling. The production operator must confirm hosting logs, retention, advertising, analytics, and privacy rights before launch.
Operator details pending. The operating identity and support arrangements must be confirmed before public launch.
Numbers you search
A searched number appears in the result URL and can remain in browser history and server or hosting logs. The homepage does not publish a feed of recent searches. Do not enter private information into a phone number field.
Database records and saved activity
Submitted reports, helpful votes, contact requests, and lookup history are stored in the WhoseNum database. New reports await review before publication. Contact details and lookup history are not returned in public feeds. An anonymous browser cookie links your lookup history and votes; clearing cookies loses access to that history. Older local drafts and fictional examples stay in browser storage until you clear them. Raw IP addresses are not stored by this application. Database records remain until an operator removes them; no automatic expiry is configured.
Public records
FTC complaints contain unverified information about reported calls. The homepage displays source, count, type, and date summaries, not private names, emails, or street addresses.
Advertising and analytics
WhoseNum uses Google Analytics to measure page visits, number searches, report and contact submissions, helpful votes, and other site actions. Analytics uses cookies to distinguish visits. Our custom events exclude searched numbers, report text, names, and email addresses; number-page addresses and titles are replaced with a generic page type. A temporary queue in session storage retains these limited events during navigation for up to 30 minutes. Analytics is disabled when the browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. Google signals and advertising personalization are disabled for Analytics. See Google’s privacy policy and Analytics opt-out options. This site loads Google AdSense. Google and other vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on visits to this and other sites.
Google’s ad settings provide personalized advertising controls. The operator must confirm the actual vendors, privacy choices, and consent requirements for the operating service. See Google’s publisher disclosure requirements.
Messages and third-party links
If you use an email link, your email provider handles the message. Official sites linked here apply their own privacy policies. Submitting the contact form saves a private request; it does not send an email.
Questions and rights
Check contact options or prepare a correction request. Applicable privacy choices and retention periods must be confirmed for the final operating service.
