About WhoseNum

WhoseNum helps you put an unfamiliar US or Canadian phone number in context before deciding how to respond.

A closer look at the evidence

We show available number context and source-labeled reports. Dates and coverage matter, so an incomplete result should say what is missing.

A lookup cannot authenticate a caller. We do not promise names, addresses, emails, social profiles, or a guaranteed scam verdict.

Who operates this service

Operator details pending. The operating identity and support arrangements must be confirmed before public launch.

Understand the sources

FTC complaints are unverified. Caller ID can be spoofed, and phone numbers can change hands. Read the data sources and limitations before relying on a result.

Moderation policy

New reports are held for review. We publish accounts of a caller’s claims, not verified allegations about a number’s owner. We reject threats, harassment, advertising, unproven accusations, and reports containing private names, street addresses, other phone numbers, account details or links.

Reviewers remove personal information, record the call category and any claimed organization, and check the report before publication. Report text is optional. Use the flag link to challenge a published report.

Review timing depends on the queue. Contact us for the current response time.

Your saved activity

Reports are saved privately for moderation. Lookup history, helpful votes and contact requests are stored separately from public reports.
